Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died on January 19, 2008 in the US. She was an American film television, theatre, and voice actress. Pleshette started out in theatre. She was in films in the late 1950s. In later years, she was an actor of note in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). She was later seen in several television productions, often in guest roles, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 until 1978. She received a number of Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1] and Eugene Pleshette, was born January 31, 1937 in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish and were the descendants of immigrants from Russia, Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was stage manager at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
