As a result of her victory she was eligible to participate in the Miss Georgia pageant in June 1985. The 22nd of June, 1985 she also won the competition. Mohr went on to be a part of Georgia in her participation in the Miss America 1986 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September 1985, following her triumph. In spite of her success Mohr did not finish in the Top 10 for the title of Miss America national.
