Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu was born in America. She is an American singer, actress and voice actor. An attractive, clever and talented actress, she's a great example to Asian actors who are aspiring to become big names in Hollywood. An array of highly successful initial appearances in popular television series made her popular for her role in the show on Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She delivered a stunning performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. In addition, she played lead parts in box office flops such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then she began voicing famous characters in animated films, such as Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was an unimportant role which didn't have any impact. The role she played in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland has helped her regain recognition as an actress of note. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order to avoid being a stereotype in a field where competition is fierce. Liu has taken on her Chinese heritage but hasn't let it hinder her creative abilities.
