Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. She is half English, half Spanish. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. Her father is an Argentine with Scottish and English descent. Her mother is of Spanish and English descent. Four of her siblings belong to her father's former marriage. The family is originally from Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when Taylor-Joy turned 6. Taylor-Joy explained that the move had been painful, and she refused to pursue a degree in English as she wanted to go back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the changed schools from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school plays. She quit high school at 16 in order to concentrate on her acting career. Taylor-Joy has always known she wanted to work as an actor. She was given a chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management she offered her an opportunity as a model.
